We envision the yacht as an exploratory vehicle for the Berlin-Brandenburg region. We chose a design of a Commuter Yacht, a variation of the popular cabin cruisers used to commute between Long Island and Wall Street in the 1920s. It’s the first build of this yacht by nautical designer Reuel Parker. We’ve made a few modifications and personal embellishments. The hull begins with an elegant V-bottom bow and flows aft into a shallow arc. The unique design enables the vessel to be poled in less than 30 cm of water. It is ideal for running up shallow rivers, exploring wildlife in remote places, or conversely, cruising the city’s industrial canals and lakes. It can accommodate a party of eight, sleep four, and is extremely fuel efficient. With a little power, she glides across the water.
